Warm autumn sunshine, a wonderful atmosphere of calm and many cheerful ‘hellos’ greeted my tour visit to the Forres Sandle school just outside Fordingbridge on Friday. Great coffee too! Had the chance to introduce myself and my books to two groups of lovely students who asked loads of terrific questions and many of whom got their signed copies of Daniel – and maybe a few more will get theirs from Mr Peak, Head of English, early next week in time to be entered into the prize draw to win a signed copy of Dogfight – good luck, there are three to win. My thanks to William for inviting me along, and I really look forward to another enjoyable visit in the future. Also, great to meet again a student I first saw at an event at the Norwegian school a few years ago – small world. In fact I was surprised, but delighted, to see several Norwegian students at Forres – and I hope they read my Special Ops series with Norwegian heroes Finn, Loki and Freya, as I think they might enjoy them …. a lot.
